Star tiles in encaustic cement

The star is one of the oldest designs in encaustic tiling. Here are floors and splashbacks laid in our clients' homes with our star designs in encaustic cement tiles: Jules, Circus, Fès and Bahya Star. Under each photo, the name of the design.

Our star tile designs

Jules is the star design our clients lay most often on this page, on kitchen, bathroom and corridor floors. Circus and Fès offer other takes on the star. Bahya Star, from our Tattoo collection, reproduces the Maison Bahya logo exactly: a star reduced to its essentials, whose geometry carries the history of the encaustic tile.

Every design starts with a divider: a brass stencil made for that design alone, whose partitions separate the colours. Each compartment is filled by hand, then the tile is pressed cold. The star runs through the body of the tile, so it does not wear away underfoot.

Star tiles, room by room

On the floor of a kitchen, a bathroom or a cloakroom, and on the wall as a splashback. In two colours, a star is very graphic: see also our black and white floor tiles.

Design your star tile

In each design, you choose the colour of every area from 78 shades: the star, its ground, its outlines. Our tile designer shows 113 designs; our workshop holds more than 500.
